At Anderson & Kreiger, we represent developers of all types of projects. Our lawyers have successfully obtained federal, state and local permits for energy projects, residential and affordable housing developments, and industrial facilities, as well as advising clients on land acquisition and design and construction contracting. When necessary, we protect our clients’ project permits in court, with one of the most successful and extensive land use litigation track records among Massachusetts firms. Our expertise includes:
Representing developers in large, mixed-use development projects. Among our many engagements, we are representing the developers of one of the largest mixed use projects in New England concerning a range of local, state and federal permits and approvals.
Leading legal and engineering teams in major federal permitting efforts. We successfully obtained dozens of federal permits for several large coastal and infrastructure facilities in Puerto Rico, including water permits that saved the client over $500 million.
Handling complex, multiple-jurisdiction permitting processes. Anderson & Kreiger coordinated the successful effort to obtain dozens of local, state and federal permits, including emission offset contracts, for a major, offshore LNG port.
Siting and permitting telecommunications facilities. We have achieved the successful siting and permitting of hundreds of telecommunication facilities across New England, often in the face of local concern and opposition.
Sustainable development. Anderson & Kreiger brings special expertise to the development of environmentally sustainable projects, with lawyers who have held key sustainable development positions in city and state governments and non-governmental organizations. We have developed state-of-the-art strategies for addressing sustainability challenges, and handle the full range of permitting processes and transactions needed to implement those strategies.
Project design and construction procurement. We routinely negotiate contracts with architects and contractors for a wide range of projects, from schools to industrial facilities, on behalf of both private and public sector clients.
