Elizabeth M. Pyle, Associate
Elizabeth Pyle specializes in environmental, land use, litigation, and municipal law. Her experience includes:
- Advising public and private clients on environmental compliance, cleanup, and cost recovery under state and federal law;
- Recovering environmental remediation costs from national insurers for environmental claims;
- Representing developers, residents, and municipalities in permitting proceedings and litigation before Massachusetts courts and agencies;
- Handling wetlands protection and zoning matters, solid waste facility cases, Chapter 91 issues, and other related areas of land use practice;
- Chairing the Somerville Conservation Commission;
- Co-authoring "Company Officials with 'Knowledge' of Environmental Problems Could Face Criminal Charges," an article published in New England In-House, a quarterly publication of Mass. Lawyers Weekly (7/27/05 with S. Anderson);
- Practicing as an Assistant District Attorney, where she gained substantial trial experience.
